Six Senses Southern Stacks, The Red Sea to Mark a Landmark Opening in Saudi Arabia, Inspired by the Major Incense Trade Route, Desert Plains and Mighty Hijaz Mountains
. Six Senses Southern Stacks, The Red Sea will take guests on a trip into infrequently-educated nature, wildlife and culture, setting new norms in sustainability and desert hospitality as Saudi Arabia drops its leg on the global tourism chart.
The Concept
Untouched and enticing, this part of the world remains fairly unknown. In ancient times, still, it was a busy trading route, used by the Nabataeans to transport luxury goods like silk, incense and fabrics. Along the way, they might found out camp and gather round the fire under a starlit night. In 106 CE, the Nabatean Empire was adjoined by the Romans, and Red Sea routes caught land trading routes. Nabatean metropolises were not centres of trade, then began their decline.
Six Senses is now recreating these rudiments to write the coming chapter in the region’s story, combining an architectural approach that pays homage to the Nabataean heritage and majestic desert surroundings along with the brand’s trademark heartiness formula and respect for centuries once. This vision is being realized in collaboration with the British architectural establishment, Foster Partners, famed for its eco credentials and responsible design development.
The transfer route from the new Red Sea International Airport will take guests southeast along the littoral trace before turning east inland through serene desert mountains and narrow wadis and on to the 76-crucial resort.
