Chef de Partie – Pastry – Barceló Mussanah Resort, Oman

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry creation and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply standard operating procedures consistently within the pastry department.
• Clean and maintain working areas and food storage areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Supervise and participate in the preparation of food for the assigned work area, focusing on pastry items.
• Take care of daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet set standards and quality.
• Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation.
• Actively participate in setting up and supervising buffets and special functions.
• Guide and train subordinates daily to ensure high motivation and an efficient working environment.
• Maintain and clean all work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards required by the hotel.
• Responsible for maintaining records/documentation in the pastry area as per operational control requirements.
• Participate in regular meetings and briefings as scheduled.
• Understand and abide by all safety rules, emergency procedures, and fire prevention regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP and other Municipality regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in pastry or similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, recipes, and presentation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
