Housekeeping Supervisor
The preferred candidate must be in UAE.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
· Responsible for an opening shift when requested
· Assists in handing out control of keys and worksheets to room attendants and public area cleaners.
· Ensures that room attendants/ cleaners report for duty on time and that they are neat and tidy.
· Assigns special duties e. g. spring cleaning, VIP rooms to room attendants.
· Ensures room attendants have relevant guest supplies and cleaning supplies.
· Check all vacant clean rooms and report any discrepancies to Front Office.
· Conducts inspection of all guest rooms and ensures that they are maintained to IHG standards.
· Conducts and records training to room attendants as required.
· Ensures that safety and security standards are maintained and reports any hazards immediately.
· Reports all maintenance to Engineering and follows up to ensure that the work is carried out.
· Is responsible for issuing special items requested by a guest and maintaining a record of requested items.
· Ensures that guest rooms have healthy plants and fresh flowers.
· Ensure all room boys equipment is well maintained and in proper functional order.
· Assists with linen inventories as requested.
· Ensures that spring cleans and additional work are carried out and recorded.
· Ensures that soft furnishings are cleaned regularly and maintains a record accordingly.
· Is aware of emergency procedures, such as fire, evacuation and bomb threat.
· Ensures a proper hand over is carried out before leaving the premises.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 1-year of housekeeping supervisory experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel
· Fluency in English is required
· Ability to work in a flexible schedule
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
