A wonderful landmark. honored tradition. iconic construction. transformed into a unique setting. Capella Sydney is a careful restoration of a piece of the city’s Sandstone past. A metropolitan attraction created with modern, timeless elegance for the next stage in the building’s history and based on the legends of its past. The Lands and Education Buildings invite tourists to their distinctive collection of historic spaces, which includes the carriage route and the Plans Room, in addition to providing opulent space for our hotel guests.
The Capella Sydney hotels preserve the structure’s heritage and enjoy its stunning surroundings while incorporating modern design elements. There is a wide range of size and design sensibility available with 192 Deluxe and Grand Rooms, as well as Bedroom Suites. With its historical purpose as a central records office tastefully reimagined in the context of this magnificent structure, the old Plans Room is our defining room. With carefully chosen furniture, artwork, antiquities, and heritage pieces from the Lands Building’s collection, the interiors will pay homage to the Ministry of Lands’ tradition and to brave Australian explorers.
